Who I See

I work with individuals, couples, and people in many kinds of relationships. Individual counseling offers space to turn inward, explore what you are carrying, deepen your relationship with yourself, and tend to what may be changing, hurting, or asking to emerge. Relational work might include romantic partners, family members, friends, people who live together, or business and creative partners. You do not need to fit neatly into a particular definition of a relationship to come to counseling together. If there is a relationship you want to understand, tend, repair, deepen, or navigate differently, there can be space for that here.

Where We Meet

In-person counseling takes place in a private cabin at a nature-based retreat center set among 100 acres of woods, meadows, trails, and a spring-fed pond in the hills of Norway, Maine. Depending on the work we are doing, sessions may take place inside by the fire or bring us outdoors onto the land. Telehealth is also available for those who prefer to meet virtually or need greater flexibility.

What to Expect

Therapy may look a little different here. We might spend a session talking, but words do not have to be the only way we explore what is happening. We may work with the body and breath, meditate, move, make art, explore different parts of yourself, create ritual, walk the land, sit beside the pond, or simply make room for silence. There is no expectation that you engage in any particular practice. Together, we can experiment with what feels meaningful and discover ways of working that help you listen more closely to yourself, your relationships, and what is asking for your attention.
